Whether you’re single, hitched, or somewhere in between, Valentine’s Day is as good excuse as any to sling back some booze. And hey, it falls on a Sunday this year so all the more reason to have a convenient opening for a Sunday Funday. Regardless of what kind of drinker you may be, we’ve rounded up the best wine and spirits to enjoy with Cupid this February.

Sure, you could pop open just another glass of wine, but Valentine’s Day only comes once a year. Why not toast to the celebration with something that’s a bit more festive that’s still easy to pull off? And yes, the wine is a great California sipper on its own too.

For a mulled wine cocktail, ONEHOPE Cabernet recommends this recipe: Combine 4 cups apple cider with a bottle (750 ml) of ONEHOPE Cabernet wine, 1/4 cup honey,  1 orange zested and juiced, 2 cinnamon sticks,  4 cloves, and 3 star anise in a large sauce pan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Pour into mugs and garnish with orange peels and cinnamon sticks.

Drop the shot glass into the pint glass and drink with the same love and affection you show your partner in crime.
